Historical Background Wide (snow-and-swamp-going) track links were developed specifically for the multi-purpose light armored towing vehicle (MT-LB) and its specialized modifications (in particular, the MT-LBV) to ensure maximum cross-country ability. Unlike standard narrow tracks, these links have a significantly increased surface area (width), which radically reduces the vehicle's specific ground pressure. Thanks to this design, the tracks allow the vehicle to confidently maneuver through deep snow, impassable swamps, sand, and muddy off-road terrain, maintaining high mobility and towing characteristics while performing combat or logistical tasks in the harshest climatic conditions.
Model Information The 1:35 scale set from SPALAH allows you to assemble fully workable (movable) wide swamp tracks for the MT-LB. Manufactured using high-precision 3D printing from premium photopolymer resin, it guarantees perfect reproduction of fine surface relief, cast center guides, connecting elements, and a level of detailing unattainable with standard plastic casting or vinyl. The kit includes 220 resin links that can be easily assembled into a movable track run. The parts are supplied on supports to prevent damage during transportation. The set is designed for use with plastic models from Trumpeter and Skif.
