Description
Prefab model 1/48 plane XA2D-1 Skyshark early version Clear Prop! CP4802 This is a set of die-cast plastic model airplanes. This is the world's first 1/48 scale Skyshark injection kit! The A2D Skyshark is a turboprop carrier-based aircraft developed by Douglas for the United States Navy. The XA2D prototype, which first flew in 1950, uses the tail wings of the A-1 Skyraider, but the fuselage and main wings have been redesigned due to engine replacement. Significant performance improvements were seen over the A-1, and more than 300 Skysharks were ordered, but the Navy canceled the order in 1952 due to the poor reliability of the engine, which had a complex design. Two prototypes of the XA2D-1 and 10 production versions of the A2D-1 were built. Details such as the cockpit, landing gear, intake and exhaust pipes are realistically reproduced, and the main wing can be assembled both folded and unfolded. The kit includes two types of canopies - open and closed - as well as catapult seats, two types of exhaust pipes, photo-etched parts and decals for four versions. Order yours now! [Includes]: Polymer parts, photoetched parts, decals for 4 versions
