VK 36.01 (H) - German tested heavy tank of the Second World War of the Henschel company, further development of the VK 30.01 (H) project. Due to the need to introduce a number of changes into the design of the VK 30.01 (H) tank, its weight will increase by 6 tons, therefore the new project received a new designation VK 36.01 (H), in official documents it was designated as Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf.B. The project became one of the stages in the development of the Tiger tank. The tank was initially planned as a transitional model to a more important tank, and it was planned to produce a total of 172 units [k. 12] . The development of this project was the prototype VK 45.01 (H), which went into production as the Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger. The prototype was used to develop many technical solutions that became the basis for the designs of important German tanks in the Second World War.
